[ADDED STABILITY] from a Side Handle Provides More Flexibility When Operating and Handling
[POWER ACCESSORIES] via 8V USB-C and 12V Micro DC Ports
[START/STOP RECORDING] via the Run Stop Button and optional Run Stop Cable
[ROTATABLE] Mounting Options Allow for More Flexibility when Mounting your Handle
[FOCUS CONTROL] Power and Control the Nucleus Nano via an optional USB-C to Micro USB Cable
This advanced handle attaches to the left side of Tiltaing camera cages.
A battery port on the bottom of the handle allows you to use a Sony F570 battery to power the Nucleus Nano motor via the 8V USB-C power output. A 12V DC output is also integrated into the handle.
A built-in finger wheel allows you to control the Nucleus Nano motor and a run/stop button allows you to control the record start/stop function of your camera through an optional Nucleus-Nano R/S cable (for cameras that support this function)
NOTE: The Type V Adapter features a Tilta Standard Rosette which is compatible with some, but not all ARRI Rosettes

I use these on both a RED Komodo and BMPCC 6K Pro. They’re great for start-stopping the camera and to focus a Nucleus Nano. However, they’re not perfect. It’s a little weird to me that the battery slot on the bottom is completely open, with no cover, meaning that if you choose to use it without the battery, the inside of the handle is exposed to the elements. I like the strap and ability to twist the handle with a quick-release trigger, but I wish the handle had a little more support. I.e. if it were shaped more like a T so you don’t have to grip it as tightly to hold the camera’s weight. It’s also annoying that you have to use this with a battery, adding weight. There’s no power input for powering it from a P-Tap on a V-Mount battery, for example. You could use a P-Tap to ***** battery, but the only solution I’ve found for this is Anton Bauer adaptor that costs $95. All the other solutions have cables that stick out the side of the *****, meaning they won’t fit in the battery slot on this handle. The Anton Bauer one runs straight down. Other than those issues, it feels solid and well made. Tilta should make a P-Tap to ***** Battery cable for this that’s more reasonably priced.
I really want to like this, but it - like many other handles with trigger rotators wiggle a lot at the pivot position. It always feels a little unstable which is distracting. It functions great otherwise and I like how much closer it can get to the camera body.
I mistakenly thought it would work with the nucleus motor wirelessly, but I bought the extra cable and now I can control the r/s functions along with pulling focus in one hand which means it works exactly as intended. But I still want to also buy the nano wheel in order to have wireless focus pulling
