Expand the functionality of your Sony Venice Camera Body with our new Camera Cage for Sony Venice 2!
The frame of this cage is constructed from a high quality, CNC-milled aluminum alloy that offers additional protection and mounting options for accessories.
The cage itself supports accessories via Cold Shoe, NATO Rail, 1/4″-20 threads and 3/8″-16 threads with locating pins.
The updated Battery Plate for Sony Venice 2 comes in both Gold Mount or V-mount and integrates with the Top Plate via an external cable, which provides reliable power and communication to the cage’s various ports.
This cable also accommodates and is fully compatible with the larger size of the external recording module that can be attached to the rear of the camera.
This greatly expands your options for powering accessories and wirelessly triggering the camera.
The Top Plate utilizes a built-in communication cable similar to our previous Venice System and provides Run Stop functionality to all of the cage’s 3-Pin Fischer R/S ports.
The Venice’s EVF can also be mounted to the Top Plate via 15mm LWS rods that can be secured near the front of the plate.
The Top Handle features an adjustable design that allows it to easily slide on and off of the Top Plate which is compatible with the Venice’s Original Top Handle as well.
This is a convenient solution for quickly adjusting the balance of the camera after a lens change or when adapting the camera for Steadicam/Gimbal setups.
An optional Top Handle Extension can be mounted to expand the handle so that it wraps around the Battery Plate.
This offers some additional mounting options as well as a unique way to operate the camera especially at lower angles.
The Baseplate includes a built-in shoulder pad and is natively compatible with Tilta-Standard Dovetails.
An optional Tilta Standard to Arri Standard Multi-Functional Baseplate can be utilized to adapt this cage to mount onto an Arri Standard Dovetail if needed.
