Description

The V-mount battery baseplate attaches directly to the bottom of the half and full camera cages.

The height of the battery housing can be adjusted to allow you to comfortably house a variety of differently-sized V-mount batteries.

A dummy battery cable can then be used to power your camera using the extended battery life provided by the V-mount battery.

Various other accessories can also be powered using the DC outputs on the side of the plate.

Tilta TA-BSP 2 to power Panasonic GH5S

I bought the Tilta TA-BSP 2 to power my Panasonic GH5S with V-Mount batteries. Positive surprise, that the battery baseplate is so lightweight. Haven't used it a lot so far, so I cannot say anything, how sturdy/robust it is. It would have been good, if Tilta would have added an ON/OFF button for the battery. There is a small blue LED light on, once the battery is mounted. So in order to avoid, that energy is being drained from the battery, when the camera is OFF and you store the mounted baseplate together with your camera in your backpack, you have to remove the battery. That's why the rating is 4 stars only.
